(ABOUT TAYLOR)
(SCROLL TO EXPLORE)
Through Story Media is a solo studio by Taylor Sanford — a creative director, producer, photographer, filmmaker, and writer. Collaboration is at the heart of every project; whether in the studio or out on the street, it’s the dialogue with clients and partners that shapes the work. Each story becomes a shared creation, blending your vision with mine to craft images and films that feel personal.
For Taylor, creativity is about pushing boundaries—finding new ways to tell stories and experimenting with the mediums that carry them. These explorations not only help him grow as an artist but also deepen his understanding of others and himself.
Born and raised in New England, Taylor now calls San Francisco his home. Taylor is a creative director, producer, photographer, filmmaker, and creative writer. With nearly eight years immersed in storytelling and over four years of professional experience, his work has led to collaborate with diverse people and communities, each connection sparking new stories and shaping how he sees the world.
Taylor studied Film at California College of the Arts, earning a BFA in Film and a minor in Writing & Literature. While there, he had the chance to collaborate with talented filmmakers and artists, and to work with CCA’s marketing team creating content to connect with and inspire new creatives. Taylor was also fortunate to learn from mentors like writer-director Giselle Bailey (HBO, Netflix) and gain industry insights through conversations with a creative executive at Ryan Coogler’s Proximity Media.

BEHIND THE LENS
(EXPLORING INDIVIDUAL CONNECTION)
“Creativity is in my blood. A passion, a job, a hobby — to play, experiment, and to grow”. Collaboration is key in a stories success. 7 steps. 3 key principles. An imagination.
“I see Photography and filmmaking as a focus on connecting with the audience to create a unique story with that viewer. We are all unique in our own ways, which means as the audience, we will bring a new kind of interpretation for the work we are looking at. Our own experiences and preconceived knowledge helps us with our own imagination and connection to something or someone”.
